Airfield Lighting Solutions

Our flash systems allow the installation of "Sequential Flash Lamp Systems". (SFLS) Category I, II and IIII with or without "Threshold Identification Lamp (REILS)approach systems with Omni-directional lamps (ODALS) and "Heliport Approach Systems".

FLASHELEK flash systems comply with the FAA and Annex 14 of the ICAO RecommendationsThey are also approved by the French STNA. These two families of devices use the same xenon flash lamp, in PAR56 format, marketed worldwide by many distributors.

Our products

JX2300 Box

The JX 2300 is remotely controlled with a 24V or 48V DC voltage and is controlled by pulses on a 4/20 mA current loop. A JX5300 Monitor Controller has been developed to manage the JX2300 Flashs from the tower via a current loop.

Firehead FT34

The F34 light head is equipped with a 2000V PAR56 Flash lamp (product photo not contractual)

JX2360 Box

The JX 2360 is remotely controlled either by simple dry contacts or by an RS485 (J-Bus) bus. A JX5600 Monitor Controller has been developed to manage the JX2360 Flashs from the tower and service operators via a UDP connection to the site’s controllers as well as an intranet server.

Description of SFLS

Sequential Systems of Flash Lamps SFLS) can be implemented in different ways, depending on ICAO recommendations:

Category I SFLS, without REILS

30 flashes operate at a distance of 14 ms and at a period of 0.5 s.

SFLS Class I with REILS

This is the same configuration to which a REILS at the runway threshold.

SFLS Category II or III without REILS

21 flashes operate at a distance of 14 ms and at a period of 0.5 s.

SFLS Category II or III with REILS

This is the same configuration to which a REILS at the runway threshold.

REILS Alone

The REILS is a set of two lamps that flash simultaneously. When one of them stops, the second one also stops thanks to the safety mode

ODALS

5 flashes plus a REILS run at a 267 ms interval (or 8 flashes or more at a 67 ms interval) and a period of 2 s. (or1 s.)

Approach of Heliports

4 flashes work at a distance of 267 ms and at a period of 2 s.
